In the NFC Championship, the Bucs pulled off a surprise win in beating the Green Bay Packers 31-26, with Tom Brady throwing three touchdowns.
It wasn’t quite so tight in the AFC Championship decider, in which the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills 38-24. The availability of Mahomes for that game after being put into concussion protocol against the Cleveland Browns in the divisional round certainly helped Kansas.
The Chiefs go into the game as the bookies favorites to retain their title against a Bucs team that will be making only their second ever Super Bowl appearance.
At the age of 43, Brady will be the oldest player ever to play in the Super Bowl. This will be his 10th appearance in the Super Bowl, with six victories to his name to date.
